Caregiver & Parent Training
The ReImagine Method, brought home
The ReImagine Method translates a comprehensive, intensive therapy framework into guided programs parents and caregivers can use at home. Focused on neurological re-education, it brings together science-informed strategies, evidence-based techniques, and meaningful activities to support development and everyday function from infancy through young adulthood.
Created by Jennifer Mazurkiewicz, MS, OTR/L, c/NDT, drawing on nearly 20 years of pediatric neurological rehabilitation experience, the framework integrates body preparation, sensory awareness, motor learning, and movement-based practice. Programs address focused needs such as arm and hand function, oral motor skills, regulation, and coordination, with applications for children with disabilities and neurological impairments, as well as youth athletes navigating injury recovery.
Through step-by-step instruction and caregiver education, you’ll learn how to bring purposeful practice into daily routines, adapt activities to your child’s abilities, and build on progress over time.
Build your confidence. Support their function. ReImagine their possibilities.

Founder, ReImagine OT™ — Creator, The ReImagine Method™ for Functional Movement Intervention™
Jenny is a pediatric occupational therapist, neurorehabilitation specialist, educator, and researcher with approximately twenty years of experience, working with children and families throughout the United States and internationally — including in Italy.
She created the ReImagine Method™ for Functional Movement Intervention™ to give families an active, practical path forward — preparing the brain and body first, then practicing meaningful movement until skills carry into everyday life.
Identify what is possible today and create the conditions for something more to become possible tomorrow.
Why the sequence matters
The science behind the method
The program uses established motor-learning principles in a practical home format.
Neuroplasticity
The nervous system changes through active experience. Attention, effort, and meaningful practice help strengthen useful movement pathways.
Stability before mobility
A more organized trunk and shoulder base can give the arm and hand a steadier foundation for reaching, grasping, and releasing.
Purposeful repetition
Skills improve through repeated practice in real tasks. Activities turn movement into play, self-care, and participation—not isolated exercise.
Parent courses provide education and guided home activities. They do not replace your child’s medical or therapy team.
The framework
6 Pillars of the ReImagine Method™
- 1
Brain & Nervous System Re-Education
Using neuroplasticity, neuromodulation, sensory input, repetition, and purposeful practice to help the brain create more efficient pathways for movement and function.
- 2
Body Awareness & Sensory Integration
Helping the child better find, feel, and understand their body through proprioceptive, tactile, vestibular, and other sensory input to support regulation and motor control.
- 3
Alignment, Mobility & Activation
Preparing the body through positioning, fascia and soft-tissue work, alignment, activation, and appropriate therapeutic tools so the child has a stronger foundation for movement.
- 4
Functional Movement & Motor Learning
Practicing meaningful movement patterns, including reaching, sitting, standing, transitions, walking, upper-extremity use, and daily activities, with an emphasis on independence rather than isolated exercises.
- 5
Vision, Cognition & Development
Integrating visual-motor skills, attention, processing, motor planning, communication, play, behavior, and developmental needs because functional movement does not occur in isolation.
- 6
Family Education & Carryover
Teaching and empowering parents and caregivers to understand the why, use appropriate strategies at home, and carry therapeutic gains into the child's everyday environment.
ReImagine the brain. Prepare the body. Practice meaningful movement. Build independence.
